Delta Air Lines is all set to add several new routes especially focusing on Las Vegas and Austin. The airline plans to launch two new routes from each destination starting October 9.
The airline’s first new route will connect Austin Bergstrom International Airport to Las Vegas and Orlando International Airport. From Las Vegas, the airline will fly to Sacramento International Airport and San Diego International Airport.
Starting October 9, SkyWest will operate the Las Vegas - Sacramento route, once daily and Las Vegas- San Diego International Airport route twice daily deploying its E175.
The Austin - Orlando flight will operate daily with Delta deploying its A320 fleet to cover the 993-mile route.
With these four routes, Delta will increase its network by 70 monthly flights, totaling an increase of 7,336 in its monthly seat offering.
Delta is also increasing frequency on a few routes in October, adding one daily flight from Atlanta to Memphis, Minneapolis to Rochester (Minnesota), Detroit to Kalamazoo/Battle Creek, and Detroit to Lansing. Two routes will decrease, with Atlanta - Austin losing one daily frequency and Minneapolis - Austin losing six weekly flights.
