Dutch Antilles Express (DAE), as part of its fleet refurbishing plan, is investing over $2.5m in performing scheduled C checks on two of its Fokker-100 aircraft at a Mexican overhaul facility authorized by the aircraft manufacturer Fokker, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Netherlands (country of manufacturing ) and the Curacao Civil Aviation. DAE are fully painting the aircraft and installing the new airline colors and livery and in addition to refurbishing the interior. The third Fokker, registered as DCC was received last year after a complete overhaul prior to being delivered to DAE, but it will also be sent to Mexico after the other aircraft return to service.
