During the second quarter of 2018, DAE Capital delivered first of five Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft to GOL, two of five new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners to Gulf Air and announced the sale of 16 aircraft portfolio valued at approximately US$900 million agreed with three counterparties.
Overall during the second quarter, DAE Capital purchase nine new aircraft taking its owned, managed and committed fleet to 375 aircraft. The average age of its owned fleet is 5.74 years, and the average lease term remining on its owned fleet is 5.72 years. DAE Capital completed 26 leasing transactions during the quarter and confirmed that its portfolio utilization rate was at 99.7%
Also during the reporting period, the leasing company signed a landmark unsecured revolving credit facility with conventional and Islamic tranches of up to US$800 million.
