CSA announces job cuts

Czech Airlines (ČSA) will cut 77 pilots, 172 flight attendants and 66 office employees under a new restructuring plan agreed with Korean Air. Václav Řehoř, board chairman of parent Český Aeroholding, has said that the number of cuts cannot be changed although some employees could potentially work part time.

"It is possible to talk about the way of their departure. One of the possibilities would be if they accepted part-time jobs. This would mean that more people could stay, at least until the time when the company recovers from the sale of six planes. It is rather about how to reach these figures than about how to change them," Řehoř said.
