Cruel summer for SAS

During the past few months, Scandinavian airline SAS was cancelled or delayed 40 of its long-haul flights due to maintenance issues affecting 10,000 passengers.
SAS spokeswoman Trine Kromann-Mikkelsen called it a "challenging summer". The airline was affected by hurricanes in the US, which damaged two of its aircraft while they were on the ground and there were also hurricanes in Shanghai, which resulted in cancellations.
However SAS also recently cancelled two round trips, Stockholm-New York-Copenhagen and Beijing-Copenhagen, due to technical problems. The airline has cancelled a total of 24 long-haul flights since June 21.
