Crane Aircraft Partners, based in California and Michigan, has closed on its second transaction this year. The aircraft investment firm has purchased a 2000 Boeing 767-300ER. The plane is currently on lease to Ethiopian Airlines.
Crane Aircraft Partners is led by Robert Crane, who has more than 25 years of experience in commercial aircraft leasing and trading, Gary Ran, who is the Chairman and Founder of one of the nation’s leading independent investment firms, Telemus Capital Partners, and Gary Weisman, the owner of General Worldwide Aviation and a leading commercial real estate developer. The three partners had worked together on a variety of aircraft transactions before officially launching Crane Aircraft Partners.
Crane Aircraft Partners completed fundraising for the firm’s first equity fund this month and will be coming to market with its second equity fund before year-end.
