Court bans night flights at Frankfurt Airport

Resident complaints of aircraft noise have led to night flights being banned at Frankfurt Airport (FRA) when the fourth runway opens on October 21, rules a Hessen court. Although Germany’s Federal Administration Court will make a decision on night flights at FRA later this year, cargo airlines are preparing for how the ban between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m., will affect them.

Lufthansa Cargo is working to reschedule or cancel some flights in its the winter schedule.
