The Central Bankruptcy Court of Thailand has granted an order to approve Thai Airways International Public Company Limited’s (THAI), Business Rehabilitation Plan as well as the amended plan following the acceptance resolution of the creditors' meeting on 19 May 2021.
THAI stated that it hopes to “instil confidence in all creditors and customers that THAI will resume its usual operation and services in order to maintain itself as an organization that can compete in the market”.
The court also approved the resignation of Chansin Treenuchagron as Acting CEO but who will remain as director and planner until July 1 or until a new Acting CEO is appointed.
Nond Kalinta, Chief Commercial Officer, for THAI, recently said that in response to the increasing demands of passengers travelling for leisure, business or transit, THAI is operating return flights for passengers to sixteen destinations. THAI also operates cargo flights to regional destinations i.e., Mumbai, New Delhi, Chennai, Singapore, Seoul, Osaka and Tokyo (Narita).
THAI states that it is planning to increase flights in its Winter Programme in 2021 in response to travel demands.
