Corsair is set to expand and renew its fleet as well as introduce new flights to North America, with its first route set to be New York.
The airline says it aims to introduce a modern and efficient mono-fleet from May 2021, with plans to fly 13 aircraft, all Airbus, in 2023.
The company has anticipated the first A330-200 to be launched in January 2020, and the first 747-400 to be launched in December 2020. The last two 747-400s will be out of the fleet in April 2021.
As part of its project, Corsair has already ordered three A330-900neo, which will integrate the fleet in August 2020, then in February and April 2021.
In addition, the company has just confirmed the order for two A330-300s. Finally, two other A330neos were ordered.
Corsair says the Airbus A330 will allow the airline to increase the number of frequencies, to meet the expectations of all customer segments, and the company to continue its development of market share in the business segment.
As part of its development on the North American continent, Corsair opened Miami in June 2019, with initially four flights per week, then five frequencies from December, to surpass six flights in June 2020.
The company also announced the expansion of its service to Montréal on an annual basis.
Finally, Corsair will open New York from June 2020, with the flights set to be operated from September 2020, on a daily basis.
