Compass Airlines applies to fly internationally

Compass Airlines has applied to the US Department of Transportation (DOT) for permission to begin operating scheduled international passenger and freight flights. It did not specify any particular countries in the application asking instead for blanket rights to all countries with which the United States has Open Skies agreements.

Compass Airlines currently operates seven E170s and thirty-six E175s for and on behalf of Delta Air Lines under its Delta Connection banner, and fifteen E175s for American Airlines under its American Eagle banner.
