Chinese aircraft assembler COMAC has fallen short of its aircraft delivery target for the C919 narrowbody, according to a report from Reuters.
China Eastern Airlines, Air China, and China Southern had anticipated a collective 32 aircraft delivered from COMAC, but the state-owned manufacturer has only reportedly delivered five jets.
COMAC said in January it planned to deliver 30 C919s in the year.
COMAC had previously aimed to produce 75 C919 jets this year. However, a Bloomberg report, citing people familiar with the matter, that this goal was cut down to 25.
