C&L Aerospace has opened a new 20,000 square foot parts warehouse in Leipzig, Germany, as part of the C&L Aviation Group Company’s plans to expand its global footprint.
“Positioning a new warehouse in the EU allows us to better support our customers in the European Union and Northern Africa,” explained Chris Kilgour, CEO of C&L Aviation Group. “We are increasingly purchasing aircraft and inventories in Europe and it makes sense to utilize those in the local market rather than move them to one of our other warehouses”.
Kilgour concluded that the new warehouse will also allow “for more favorable shipping rates and times” for operators, with parts held in stock including components for the ATR 42/72, ERJ 145, E170/190 and the Saab 340.
Earlier this year, C&L announced the opening of a warehouse in Wichita, Kansas, with an additional facility also due to open in South Africa this Spring. These will augment services offered by existing facilities in the United States, UK and Australia.
