Citilink is all set to resume Perth-Bali route along with a new service to Jakarta, thus providing more options for Western Australian passengers travelling to Indonesia.
Kate Holsgrove, Acting Chief Executive Officer, Perth Airport said: “Perth–Jakarta services bring more competition and more choice for travellers. It’s great that Citilink is returning, especially given that these services will bring almost 190,000 additional seats to the market, which is fantastic news for those travelling for leisure, business or education. Indonesia is our nearest neighbour and one of the most popular tourism destinations for Western Australians.”
“These new International routes are quite promising considering that tourists from Australia are one of the highest number of tourists visiting Indonesia in 2022,” added Dewa Rai, Chief Executive, Citilink Indonesia.
According to the Center for Data and Information Systems of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Australia is ranked fourth in terms of the highest number of foreign tourists visiting Indonesia in 2022. Australia is also the country with the highest growth in the number of foreign tourists visiting Indonesia in 2022 compared to 2021.
The Citilink daily Perth – Bali service will commence on July 19 on an A320 while the thrice weekly Perth-Jakarta service will start from July 29.
