CIAF Leasing recently took delivery of the three new Embraer E190-E2 at a ceremony at Embraer headquarters in Brazil closing off a reasonably good year for Embraer E-Jets.
Salah Hashem, Chairman and CEO of CIAF Leasing, said: “The three new E190s will be an excellent addition to our growing fleet of Embraer E-Jets.”
Stephan Hannemann, VP Middle East and Africa, Embraer Commercial Aviation added: “It’s good to see a long-term partner like CIAF receiving more aircraft and bringing in another new E-Jet operator to the Embraer family; wrapping up a year of significant progress for Embraer in the region.”
The E190-E2 was the first variant of the E2 family range to take flight in 2016. Norway’s Widerøe Airlines became the launch operator for the very first commercial flight for they type in 2018. The E-Jets are aimed towards greener operations, better fuel efficiency and meeting the new environmental challenges and the world’s quietest commercial airliner.
The Embraer E2 family, the E195-E2 and E190-E2 recently received their Type Certification approvals from Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA), with Canadian carrier Porter Airlines becoming launch customer for the E195-E2 model.
