Air China, China Southern Airlines and seven other Chinese airlines is raising its passenger fuel surcharges.
China Southern announced in a statement that it will charge 70 yuan for flights of more than 800 kilometers, up from 40 yuan. Fee for shorter flights will be raised to 40 yuan from 20 yuan.
Other Chinese airlines will charge the same rate.
