According to the Global Airline On-time Arrival Performance Report for September 2015 from the CARNOC database CADAS (Civil Aviation Data Analysis), Chinese Airlines posted better results for on-time performance in September. Some 65 major airlines had over 90% on-time arrival performance, including 21 airlines based in Asia-Pacific, 26 in Europe, 11 in North America, 4 in Middle East and 3 in Latin America.
Among the 107 reporting carriers, airBaltic had the best on-time rating at 98.04%, followed by Finnair (98.13%) and Copa Airlines (97.96%).
The on-time performance of mainland Chinese airlines was better than the previous months, but none of them reached the international average rate of 91%. Air China had an on-time performance of 87%, ranking the third place among the mainland Chinese airlines. China United Airlines, Xiamen Airlines and Capital Airlines had the biggest advance, with their on-time results climbing 61%, 52% and 40%, respectively. In September, 16 out of the 24 mainland Chinese airlines ranked in the report had a better on-time performance than the previous eight months.
