China Southern resumes Wuhan-Heathrow route after three-year hiatus

China Southern Airlines resumed its direct non-stop service from Wuhan to London Heathrow after a three-year hiatus. The flight CZ607, an A350 arrived ahead of schedule after 11 hours and 13 minutes, in London taking a direct route through Russian airspace.

This flight was the first scheduled service between Wuhan and any European airport since COVID. As of now, the flights will be operated on a weekly basis but there may be potential for increased frequency as Chinese commercial aviation recovers.

China Southern launched its Wuhan-London route in 2018 with three weekly flights operating every Monday, Wednesday and Fridays.
