China Airlines selects HAECO ITM for Boeing 777-300ER fleet

China Airlines (CAL) and HAECO ITM have entered into an agreement for a long-term rotables management programme on the airline's Boeing 777-300ER fleet, covering a range of line-replaceable units (LRUs) and simulator parts. CAL took delivery of its first Boeing 777-300ER in late September and will add another nine of these aircraft to its fleet by mid-2016. Under the agreement, HAECO ITM will support CAL with comprehensive component solutions that include repair management, provision of onsite consignment stock in Taipei, as well as access to HAECO ITM's extensive inventory pool in Hong Kong.

“As we enter our ‘Next Generation Plan’ with the Boeing 777-300ERs, we are pleased to have strengthened the partnership with the HAECO Group through this agreement with HAECO ITM,” said CJ Huang, Senior Vice President Engineering & Maintenance Organization of China Airlines. “Underpinning this deal is HAECO ITM’s extensive technical know-how and operational experience with the Boeing 777-300ER fleet. In addition, CAL can leverage HAECO ITM’s close proximity to Taipei and excellent connectivity out of Hong Kong International Airport to ensure the high levels of service required by CAL to maintain our fleet performance,” he added.

Augustus Tang, Chief Executive Officer of the HAECO Group said: “We are delighted that HAECO ITM has been selected by CAL as it embarks on this exciting new phase of its fleet development programme. The HAECO Group has a long history of collaboration with CAL in a number of key areas. This deal further strengthens our relationship and we are pleased to extend our service on the Boeing 777 to support CAL’s growth plans.”
