China Airlines launches new Taipei-Prague route

China Airlines is all set to launch new Taipei-Prague route with twice weekly flights starting July 18, 2023. The airline will deploy its Airbus A350 aircraft on the route.

With this, China Airlines becomes the only airline to fly directly between Taiwan and the Czech Republic.

“China Airlines has a positive outlook on post-pandemic travel recovery. The number of people traveling to Europe has been growing steadily in recent years with the eastern European market seeing the most growth,” the airline said in a statement.

China Airlines already serves five destinations in Europe, with daily flights to Frankfurt and four weekly flights to Amsterdam, London Heathrow and Vienna. The airline will increase its one weekly round trip to Rome Fiumicino to thrice weekly starting March 2023.

“With business and travel demand both growing steadily throughout the Asia-Pacific, eastern Europe offers a market with great potential and China Airlines will continue to compete in the transfer market,” the airline further added.

China Airlines handled 574,002 passengers in February 2023, down by almost 50% of 2019, with a load factor of 72%. New routes launched this year include four weekly services to Chiang Mai in Thailand and Da Nang in Vietnam.
