China Airlines recently revealed its Pikachu Jet CI with an attractive Pokemon livery in Taiwan. The livery was pained on the Airbus A321neo that was delivered to China Airlines last year. The livery is dubbed the 'most colorful livery' in the history of China Airlines.
The aircraft took about three days to paint using 36 paints in shades of pastel orange, pink, and violet hues. The Pokémon Company has designed the fuselage livery exclusively for China Airlines as a part of the Flying Pikachu Project.'
China Airlines Chairman Su-Chien Hsieh said, "The Airbus A321neo aircraft chosen for the livery is the latest next-generation passenger aircraft to be introduced by China Airlines. Painting the livery was an international effort involving the best engineers at China Airlines Maintenance Division and Japanese painting experts who traveled all the way to Taiwan."
China Airlines hopes that the liveried aircraft will bring nostalgia and added excitement to passengers as they reach their vacation destination. The airline took all Pokemon fans on its first flight on the Taipei/Songshan-Tokyo/Haneda route.
