Taiwanese carrier, China Airlines, has cancelled some flights to Japan, Hong Kong and the Philippines today due to the striking of its flight attendants, who are protesting about over changes to their working conditions.
A main sticking point is China Airlines’ request for flight attendants from this month to report into work at the company's headquarters in Taoyuan, the main international airport and nearly an hour's drive from Taipei. Previously, flight attendants were previously able to report into work at the local airport in Taipei.
