China air traffic up 9% in Sept

The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) has reported that China's air passenger traffic increased 8.7% in September, compared to the same month last year, with cargo volume rising 2.9%.

Passengers travelling on domestic flights grew 8.2% to 30.38 million, while those travelling on Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan routes rose 5.9% to 792,000 and international passengers surged 14.5% to 2.76 million.

The passenger load factor declined 0.4 percentage points to 81.1%, and the cargo load factor dropped 0.2 percentage points to 73.5%. The daily aircraft utilization rate for September averaged 9.6 hours.
