CDB Aviation completes major A320neo order from Volaris

CDB Aviation has fulfilled a major order of A320neo family aircraft from Mexican low-cost carrier Volaris.

On Monday (November 3), the Dublin-based lessor confirmed that it has delivered two A320neo and three A321neo aircraft to Volaris since July 2024. All five aircraft were sale and leaseback transactions.

The latest deliveries bring the total number of CDB Aviation aircraft on lease to Volaris to 16.

Jamie Pous, chief financial officer of Volaris, said the Mexican carrier “deeply values” its long-term partnership with and the continued trust of CDB Aviation.

“The delivery of these new aircraft represents a significant step in our ongoing fleet optimisation strategy and reflects the solid collaboration between our organisations,” he said.

“Together, we have built a relationship grounded in shared goals and operational excellence, and we look forward to continuing to strengthen this alliance as we expand our network across the region.”

CDB Aviation is a wholly-owned Irish subsidiary of China Development Bank Financial Leasing (CDB Leasing).
