Cathay Pacific is planning to cancel some flights between Hong Kong and Japan in the first week of February due to the limitations imposed by the Japanese government. The affected flights included flights to and from Tokyo-Narita, Osaka-Kansai, Nagoya-Chubu, and Fukuoka that were scheduled between February 3 and 16.
Meanwhile the airline is planning to reschedule the cancelled flights or provide with a refund option for passengers. The airline has also posted an apology on its website for passenger inconvenience.
On the other hand, the Cathay Pacific flight attendants Union is planning a work-to-rule campaign to pressure the airline to answer their demands to improve treatment. The Union demands to have reasonable roster arrangements, longer rest time, and better welfare for its members, asking the crew not to work overtime or on rest days.
After threatening to take industrial action over Christmas and New Year, looks like the demands on the cabin crew are yet to be met.
