Cathay Pacific carried 2.6 million passengers in October 2025, marking a 29.3% increase compared to last year. This was supported by a 26.3% increase on capacity.
The airline's load factor improved 2.7 percentage points to 85.8%. Revenue passenger kilometres (RPKs) climbed 30.4%.
“We saw strong travel demand during October — early-month traffic was buoyed by multiple regional holidays," said Lavinia Lau, chief customer and commercial officer at Cathay Pacific.
Lau added that bookings for the Christmas travel peak “remain strong” and the airline anticipates “significant inbound traffic”.
The company's low-cost subsidiary HK Express carried 683,476 passengers during the month, up 31.9%, while its capacity was up 34%. However, the airline's load factor slipped 2.4 percentage points to 76.5%. The airline's RPKs increased 29.9%.
The airlines collectively carried over 3.2 million passengers.
Cathay Cargo carried 6% more cargo in October 2025 compared to the same period last year, while available freight tonne kilometres increased by 8%.
