Cathay Group has appointed Guy Bradley as its new chairman of the board, effective May 13, 2026.
Bradley is also chairman of Swire Pacific and a director of Cathay Pacific Airways.
"As chair of the Cathay Group, my focus will be on working closely with the leadership team on enhancing the Cathay Group’s overall performance, as well as continuing to support Hong Kong, our home city, and strengthening its status as a leading international aviation hub,” said Bradley.
The appointment comes as the group's current chair Patrick Healy also announced today that he would be stepping down from the position on May 13, 2026.
Healy is retiring from the Swire Group — Cathay Group's largest shareholder — on May 31, 2026.
“Patrick has demonstrated unwavering commitment and leadership throughout his six years as chair, especially during the pandemic,” said Bradley.
“It has been a privilege to chair the Cathay Group for the last six years, working alongside a passionate, committed team who have shown immense resilience through one of the most challenging periods in our 80-year history,” said Healy.
Bradley joined the Swire Group in 1987 and has held senior positions across several key global markets.
