Cathay braces for union action

Cathay Pacific Airways is bracing for disruption to its flight schedule over the busy winter holiday period as its unionised pilots voted to continue with its contract compliance or “work-to-rule” campaign if pay talks fail. The Hong Kong Aircrew Officers Association has called on its members to work to rule until they get a better pay offer in talks with Cathay. The union has already declined a 10% pay increase over three years.
