China Aircraft Leasing (CALC) signed a lease agreement with Uzbekistan Airways for two A321neo aircraft on June 10, 2025. The new aircraft will support Uzbekistan Airways' ongoing fleet modernisation and network expansion strategy.
The two aircraft are scheduled for delivery in 2026 and will come from CALC's direct orderbook with Airbus. This agreement follows on from the lessor's 2023 agreement with the airline for A320neos.
“This follow-on agreement reflects CALC's commitment to delivering tailored solutions that meet the evolving fleet and growth requirements of our airline partners,” said CALC chief commercial officer and president Winnie Liu. “We look forward to supporting Uzbekistan Airways as it continues to expand and modernise its operations.”
Uzbekistan Airways chairman Shukhrat Khudaykulov commented: “Uzbekistan Airways continues to follow a strategy of sustainable growth and enhanced service quality. The arrival of the new A321neo aircraft is not just about fleet expansion — it is a significant step toward building a modern, competitive, and passenger-friendly aviation system.”
In addition, the lessor delivered a new A320neo to LATAM Airlines in Blagnac, France, the company said on the same day.
