CAE has signed a long-term agreement with Akasa Air to provide 737 MAX training for the Indian airline at its Indian campus. As part of the collaboration, the carrier will benefit from CAE’s facilities, instructors and simulators for the next 15 years.
“As we receive a substantial influx of aircraft in the coming decade, this partnership will provide us access to the world’s best training facilities,” commented Vinay Dube, founder and CEO of Akasa Air. “Our approach to learning and development is rooted in developing a future-ready workforce to gain a competitive advantage in the dynamic aviation landscape”.
CAE has trained Akasa Air pilots since the carrier’s inception in 2022, with CAE group president of civil aviation Nick Leontidis adding: “This long-term agreement is a testament to the quality of the pilot training we deliver and the strong relationship we have built with Akasa in a relatively short time”.
CAE currently operates 13 simulators across three commercial aviation training centres in India.
