CAE chief financial officer (CFO) and executive vice president, finance Sonya Branco has stepped down from her position in pursuit of interests outside of the company. Branco had been in the position since 2016 and joined the company in 2008. In her place, CAE has appointed Constantino Malatesta as its interim CFO.
""Sonya led CAE's finance organisation through a period of significant growth and reached many important milestones,"" said CAE president and CEO Marc Parent. ""We have benefitted greatly from Sonya's stewardship, her insightful mentorship of her colleagues, and her deep commitment to the company.""
Malatesta was previously the company's chief accounting officer and vice-president, controller office.
Parent commented: ""Constantino has worked closely with Sonya for many years, and he has a deep knowledge of CAE's business and an extensive background in finance that will provide continuity and stability at CAE.""
CAE is currently seeking its permanent CFO.
