CAAS LAUNCHES RECRUITMENT DRIVE

The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) has announced it is launching an aviation manpower programme (AMP) to help recruit skilled aviation workers.

The five-year $9 million budget is the third AMP programme under the $100 million Aviation Development Fund (ADF) launched on April 1 this year to promote and develop the aviation sector in Singapore.

‘To keep ourselves ahead of the competition, we need a skilled, intelligent and efficient work force to form the backbone of the aviation sector,’ said Lim Hwee Hua, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister for Finance and Transport.

‘We will have to continue to attract, develop and retain competent and skilled workers to ensure the continued success of our aviation industry.’

The fund seeks to attract, develop and retain talent via scholarships for polytechnic and university graduates working in the aviation industry among others.
