The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) has released reports that show that the Chinese civil aviation industry saw a total turnover volume of 35.38 billion ton kilometers, up 11.1% compared with the same period last year, while passenger volume and cargo traffic climbed 10.7% and 6.0% year-on-year to 186 million and 2.788 million tons respectively.
As of June 30th, the whole industry achieved a total of 3.634 million flying hours and handled 1.604 million aircraft movements, up 10.3% and 9.4% year-on-year respectively.
Three new airlines and 22 general aviation enterprises were established. With five new airports entering service, the total number of certificated airports increased to 198.
