Aviation Capital Group (ACG) has made significant changes to its management team as the lessor continues to promote and grow its Aircraft Financing Solutions group, which offers supported financing for airlines. Tom Baker, who is described as having been integral to the creation of the AFS group, has been promoted to executive vice president and chief revenue officer, although he will also continue to oversee the AFS group.
In his role as chief revenue officer, Baker is tasked with the further integration and alignment of ACG’s sales/marketing, trading and technical teams. ACG states that these changes will strengthen the company’s ability to “focus on customer needs while enhancing revenue opportunities”.
“Tom has been integral in the creation of our innovative new Aircraft Financing Solutions group which allows ACG as an operating lessor to also offer a financing solution for airlines in addition to operating leases. I’m confident that these organizational changes will help facilitate the acceleration of our strategy of providing innovative solutions to our airline customers and for continued profitable growth,” noted Khanh T. Tran, president and CEO of ACG.
Because of these changes, and effective immediately, the chief commercial officer position held by Andy Mansell has been eliminated. In a press release, ACG expressed its gratitude for the significant contributions that Mansell has made over the years and “wish him success in his future endeavours”.
