C&L Aviation Services has received FAA-approved Repair Specification to repair and reweb 9G/16G seat belts and cargo netting at their MRO in Bangor, Maine.
A statement from C&L said the decision “makes C&L one of only a few non-OEM facilities offering this service in the U.S. for operators and MROs seeking alternate solutions to OEM replacements for belts that have become damaged or timed out”.
“We are excited to be able to offer this service to our customers who are facing steep costs and long lead-times from OEMs to get replacement belts,” said Ernesto Mendoza, seat belt production manager for C&L Aviation Services.
“We produce a quality product that meets the rigors of industry testing at a cost significantly lower than the OEMs. Add that to our quick turn times and we will be able to make a lot of customers happy with our service.”
