Busy third quarter for AerCap

AerCap signed financial transactions for approximately $1.4bn during the third quarter of 2022, according to the latest financial report. Overall Aercap leased, purchased, and sold 225 assets with 184 signed agreements, 34 completed purchases, and 37 sale transactions.

The 184 lease agreements included: 30 widebody aircraft, 104 narrowbody aircraft, three regional jets, 23 engines, and 24 helicopters.  AerCap purchased 15 aircraft including 12 A320neo Family aircraft and one A220 aircraft for AerCap’s owned aircraft portfolio and two aircraft for AerCap’s managed aircraft portfolio, 16 engines, and three helicopters.

Of the executed 37 sale transactions, 21 were for aircraft, 13 for engines, and three for helicopters. The sale transaction for 21 aircraft included: four A320 aircraft, two A320neo aircraft, one A330, two 737NGs, two 777-200ERs, two 767-300ERs, one 737-800BCF and three 747-400Fs from AerCap’s owned aircraft portfolio and four aircraft from AerCap’s managed aircraft portfolio.

AerCap’s net income for the second quarter of 2022 was $340 million with 125 lease agreements, 16 purchases, and 43 sales.
