Bulgaria Air has signed a new wet lease agreement with Air Serbia, extending an existing ACMI partnership between the two airlines.
Under the new agreement, Bulgaria Air will once again provide Air Serbia with four Embraer E190 aircraft on a wet lease basis.
The agreement — which is the third ACMI agreement between the two airlines since 2024 — covers the next two years, or a total of four flying seasons.
The four aircraft will continue to operate flights as part of Air Serbia's regular routes, and will retain their current configuration of eight business class and 100 economy class seats.
The cabin crew uniforms will continue to bear the colours of the Bulgarian national flag, and aircraft maintenance will continue to be carried out in Sofia.
“The successful continuation of the partnership confirms the close cooperation between the national carriers of Bulgaria and Serbia, established more than 10 years ago,” the two flag carriers said.
In 2014, the two airlines signed a codeshare agreement for the Belgrade-Sofia-Belgrade route, ensuring air connectivity between the two capitals.
