Bristow Ireland, a subsidiary of Bristow Group, has announced the appointment of Philip Bartlett as director, Irish search and rescue (SAR).
“Philip brings significant experience of Irish aviation to Bristow. His appointment follows the recent award of the Air Operator Certificate, which is a fundamental requirement for delivering SAR operations in Ireland,” said Neil Ebberson, Bristow director of government services. “We are delighted to welcome Philip to the team and look forward to his leadership of the transition to the new contract getting underway this autumn”.
Barlett brings over 33 years of experience in Irish and UK aviation to the new role, where he will now be responsible for leading the Bristow SAR team across Ireland. He recently served as chief technical officer for Shannon Technical Services, prior to which he was a technical operations manager for Nordic Aviation Capital.
