The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has certified Bombardier's Global 8000 business jet, the Canadian OEM announced on Friday (December 22).
The aircraft type had received Transport Canada (TC) type certification on November 5, 2025, and entered into service in December 2025.
“Attaining the Global 8000 certification from the FAA sets new performance standards in the industry and marks one of the final chapters in our very successful development programme for this ground-breaking business jet,” said Bombardier SVP for engineering and product development Stephen McCullough.
The Global 8000 has a top speed of Mach 0.95 and a range of 8,000 nautical miles.
