Bombardier has announced that an airline, which has requested to remain unidentified, has signed a firm purchase agreement for five Q400 NextGen turboprops.
Based on the list price for the Q400 NextGen airliner, the transaction is valued at approximately $168 million.
Ray Jones, Senior Vice President, Sales, Marketing and Asset Management, Bombardier Commercial Aircraft, said: "In today's challenging economic environment, the Q400 NextGen aircraft offers the optimum solution with four times the flexibility available to Bombardier operators today - single class, dual class, extra capacity seating for up to 86 passengers and the newly-launched cargo-passenger combi configurations.
