Ahead of announcing 2022 fourth quarter (Q4 2022) financial results on January 25, Boeing said it delivered 152 commercial aircraft during the period and 480 throughout the year.

The majority of the Q4 output was made up of 737s, with Boeing reporting delivery of 110 of the aircraft. Two 747s were delivered by the aerospace giant, along with six 777s, 12 767s and 22 787s.

Boeing said it delivered 48 items under its defence, military and security programmes during Q4, including Apache helicopters and F-15s, out of 165 reported for the year.

Boeing did not provide a breakdown of customers or financial details of the sales in a January 10 statement.

In a subsequent statement the same day, Boeing said received 774 commercial orders in 2022 after cancellations and conversions, including 561 orders for the 737 family and 213 orders for twin-aisle airplanes. It said it delivered 69 commercial jets in December, including 53 737 MAX, bringing deliveries for 2022 to 480 but leaving it with a backlog for the year of 4,578 jets.
