Boeing CEO Dennis Muilenburg has declared that the company will not see any "immediate or significant impact" from US tariffs on steel and aluminium imports, he told TheStreet.com.
"We remain hopeful that the U.S. and China will reach a conclusion that is productive for both countries," Muilenberg said, adding that "the world will need 41,000 new airplanes and more than 7,000 of them will be in China. We are doing well in China, and our Chinese customers are very important to us."

However, the risk remains that the EU will add similar levies on US goods that are imported into Europe, which will impact Airbus and other suppliers.
