Boeing has revealed the exact order split for specific types of aircraft, including the 737 MAXs and 777-8X, in its latest Orders & Deliveries filing, closing in on the 1,000-order mark.
The filings showed that that Boeing has a total of 363 net orders for the entire 777X family, split between eight for the 777-8X, 55 for the 777-8F, and 300 for the 777-9X. Gross orders were 43, 55, and 322, respectively.
Emirates was the launch customer of B777 type ordering the aircraft during 2013 Dubai Air Show launch. Apart from Emirates, Boeing closed a total of 259 aircraft orders from three other customers, namely Etihad Airways, Lufthansa, and Qatar Airways.
Among all the jets, the B737 Max 8 was the most popular variant, with Boeing having unfilled orders for 2,751 and delivered 965 jets. Ryanair accounts for almost 45% of the total, having placed orders for 210.
Additionally, thanks to its May 2023 order for 150 737 Max 10s, plus 150 options, Ryanair also accounts for nearly 20% of that model’s backlog.
Considering the B737 Max 8 orders, Boeing has delivered 87 units and holds unfilled orders for 137 aircraft with the Max 7 under 297 orders.
