BOC Aviation inks lease agreement with Philippine Airlines for two A350-1000s

BOC Aviation has signed a purchase and leaseback agreement with Philippine Airlines for two A350-1000 aircraft on long-term operating leases. Philippine Airlines is a new customer for the lessor.

Both aircraft will be powered by Rolls Royce Trent XWB engines, with the first delivery scheduled for December 2025.

“This is our first A350-1000 delivery and underscores our commitment to supporting the industry's development with latest-technology aircraft,” said BOC Aviation CEO and managing director Steven Townend.

President of Philippine Airlines Richard Nuttall said the aircraft will support its ongoing fleet modernisation programme.

“Our partnership with BOC Aviation reinforces our strategy to enhance our global competitiveness while supporting the sustainable growth of our network,” said Nuttall.

Last month, the lessor signed lease agreements with EGYPTAIR for three A350-900s, with the first scheduled for delivery this year, as well as with Akasa Air for three 737-8 aircraft, with the first scheduled for delivery in January 2026.
