BOC Aviation finishes strong Q3 with an orderbook of 181 aircraft

BOC Aviation has carried out a total of 44 transactions in the third quarter (Q3) of 2022 with the signing of 21 lease agreements and 12 aircraft deliveries. BOC sold one, managed one aircraft, and planned to purchase nine new aircraft in a few months.

At present, the total fleet for BOC aviation stands at 612 aircraft, owned, managed, and on order with an average aircraft age of 4.3 years and an average remaining lease term of 8.2 years for the 395 owned aircraft fleet. BOC Aviation currently has 181 aircraft on order.

BOC Aviation has a strong customer base of 81 airlines in 38 countries and regions in its aircraft-owned and managed portfolios. The managed fleet consists of 36 aircraft with two single-aisle off-lease.

For the first six months, ending June 2022, BOC Aviation reported a net loss after tax of $313 million. The primary reason for the loss is the write-down of the net book value of 17 aircraft that remain in Russia of US$804 million.
