BOC Aviation and IndiGo have entered into a finance lease transaction for four A320neo aircraft, all powered by CFM LEAP-1A engines and scheduled for delivery in 2024.
“This is our first transaction in the year of the dragon, and it sets the tone for the year as we continue growing our fleet by investing in the latest generation aircraft,” said Steven Townend, CEO and managing director of BOC Aviation.
This is the latest lease agreement between the two parties, following a deal in August 2023 that saw BOC Aviation lease ten A320neos to the low-cost Indian airline. “We are pleased to announce what we have extended our partnership with BOC Aviation” commented Riyaz Peermohamed, chief aircraft acquisition and financing officer of IndiGo, adding: “These aircraft will be instrumental in supporting our expansion plans and strengthening our position in both domestic and international markets”.
