Sector Aviation Holdings (SAH), which acquired UK carrier bmi Regional, has released details of the future network of the airline it bought from International Airlines Group in June.
The airline has received approval from IATA to use BM as its two-letter code, while it is expected to retain the “bmi Regional” brand and launch and new frequent flyer soon.
bmi Regional is seeking to develop its network, which was previously dependent on Star Alliance partnerships, via new codeshare and interline agreements. For the winter schedule however, the airline has only added a few new routes: twice-daily flights between Aberdeen-Bristol and Manchester-Antwerp. More new routes are expected to be announced in November for a Spring 2013 launch.
bmi Regional has confirmed that it will not be considering the future of its 14 ERJ-145s and four ERJ-135s fleet until the end of next year.
