British regional airline Blue Islands suspended trading on Friday (November 14), cancelling all flights.
"We deeply regret the inconvenience that this will bring to [customers'] travel plans," the airline said.
The operator is based on the island of Jersey.
Fellow regional airlines Aurigny and Loganir will offer additional flights to support displaced passengers.
Aurigny was a codeshare partner of Blue Islands.
“For bookings made through our codeshare partner Aurigny but travelling on a Blue Islands flight, please contact Aurigny directly – some flights may still be operating,” Blue Islands said in a statement.
Loganair has added flights from Jersey to Guernsey, Exeter, Bristol, and Southampton, as well as Guernsey to Southampton yesterday.
“Loganair will be stepping in to maintain vital air connectivity for our community — including the essential medical route to Southampton,” Jersey Airport said.
Loganair now plans to create a permanent operating base on the island.
Aurigny will run daily Jersey–Guernsey flights, with two round trips Monday–Thursday and Saturday, and one on Friday and Sunday, through 17 December.
The airline said it will provide information on “longer-term plans” later this week. The airline is also operating two to three daily Guernsey–Southampton services.
