BIMAN SEARCHING FOR FINANCE FOR TWO BOEING 777-300ERS

Biman has issued an RFP for financing for two Boeing 777-300ER with GE engines, which are due for delivery in October and November this year.

In 2008, Biman order four 777s, four 787s and two 737s.

The airline needs $357 million to take delivery. It has asked for a 12-year loan, backed by the Bangladesh Bank, and would accept a three-month floating rate payable after every three months with an option to transfer fixed rate system. Or, it is open to an Ex-Im bank backed finance deal.
