Beja Airport to open second MESA maintenance hangar

Aircraft engineering and maintenance company MESA has received the license for the construction of its second hangar at Beja Airport.

The Hi Fly airline group will be able to triple its capacity with the second hangar.

“With the opening of our first hangar in 2021, we have already seen remarkable success," said MESA CEO David Cruz. "Now, with this second hangar, we will be able to triple our capacity and continue to offer the highest quality maintenance services to our clients.”

The total investment in this new project amounts to €60 million. This total accounts for infrastructure, equipment, and training of new technicians.

The new facilities will span 11,000 square metres and will be located adjacent to the current hangar. The facility is designed to accommodate all aircraft from the Airbus family.
