BBN Airlines Thailand rebrands as Thai SmartLynx

BBN Airlines Thailand, which is part of the Avia Solutions group, has rebranded itself as Thai SmartLynx. ""Our new brand reflects our commitment to innovation, quality service, and continued dedication to seamlessly connecting you to your destinations. Join us as we embark on this exciting journey and elevate your travel experience to new heights,"" the company read in a LinkedIn statement. The airline is hoping to launch operations by the end of the year as it aims to obtain its air operator license (AOL) followed by its air operators certificate (AOC) in October. Its fleet consists of A320 and A321 aircraft. It had announced previously it would introduce aircraft, crew, maintenance, and insurance (ACMI) services to Thailand. ""During a recent visit with Bangkok Airways, the [Thai SmartLynx] team discussed the potential benefits of ACMI arrangements,"" it read in a post. It added: ""In addition to the ACMI discussions, the meeting with Bangkok Airways also covered areas of potential collaboration, such as training and knowledge sharing. We are thrilled about the possibilities that this partnership could bring.""
